All too often, as a means of saving money people who use these searches for things like employment, will run local checks in the areas listed as past residences. When you think about it though, after so many local searches, you end up paying more then a nationwide background check, so isn’t it worth going ahead and checking the national database in order to find out the truth as to whether or not that person is really trying to hide something from you.
People lie, they do it all the time; especially on applications for employment. They will fatten them up with collegiate information that does not exist, job experiences they do not really have and of course if they know you might even think of performing a background check they will lie about their past addresses. It all comes down to trust, and since you are performing the searches to determine if someone is trustworthy, does it not also make sense that you do a nationwide background check to ensure that everything they stated on their application is the truth or not. Make sure that you are protecting your interests based on the facts that you obtain through one of these searches rather then just assuming based on a hunch that they are honest. If everyone just assumed, then no businesses would actually make money; there would be too much risk involved when decisions are based on hunches rather then facts.
